67.  Down the straight leading to Doane's Corner
68.  Further down the straight leading to Doane's Corner
69.  And still further down the straight leading to Doane's Corner
70.  A hayride of college girls enjoying the course on a sunny Sunday. And me 40 years too old!
71.  Continuing to hike toward Doane's Corner
72.  The grass path on the left is going into Doanes.  The gravel/paving on the right is coming out
73.  The left hander ahead leads into Doane's Corner
74.  Starting the almost full circle turn that is Doane's Corner
75.  The trail becomes a path as you head into the brush now covering Doane's
76.  Curving around Doanes
77.  Still curving around Doane's in heavy brush
78.  More curving around Doane's
79.  And more curving through the overgrowth that has covered the turn
80.  Finally breaking into the clear with a view of the start of the straight leading to the Monza Wall area
81.  Climbed the hill that is in the center of Doane's.  I think this post is one leg of the old corner tower
82.  View from the hill across the track into the infield/paddock.  This was all skinned clear in the '60s
83.  Back on the track at the end of Doane's Corner, heading for the Monza Wall area
84.  Continuing toward the Wall area
85.  The straight heading towards the Monza Wall area
86.  More straight toward Monza
87.  And still more
88.  The start of the left hander that replaced the Monza Wall
89.  The left continues around
90.  Looking off to the right of the turn, you can see the pavement after the Jump
91.  The curve continues.  Prior to 1968, you'd be  up the wall by now, getting well shaken
92.  IMHO, this featureless curve is a sad substitute for the signature feature of Meadowdale Raceway
93.  The straight that was part of the replacement for the Monza Wall
94.  The straight ends at a large square slab of paving.  I think the track was defined by haybales here
95.  Looking down the bank to the right of the track.  The trees pretty well hide Steffen's Straight
96.  View from what may have been the turn-in to go from the Wall straight to the main straight
97.  Looking left from the track to what was the cleared infield paddock
98.  These trees have grown to this stature is just over 30 years
99.  Heading for the apex on the turn going onto the main straight
100.  Back on the main straight, heading for the finish line
101.  In the pit lane.  The tower used to be on the left
102.  Further down the pit lane, also used as the return lane for the drag strip

And so the Checker falls on this lap on Meadowdale International Raceway
